Game service terms
Prepared/revised: 16 October 2026 / CAT BEAT service information
These terms govern CAT BEAT : Wake the Beat and related services. Provisions for paid content, advertising and other individual features apply when those features are offered.
Chapter 1. General provisions
Article 1. Purpose and scope
These terms govern CAT BEAT : Wake the Beat, its website and related services provided by 오늘도 레벨업 (the “Company”), including the conditions of use, rights, duties, responsibility and dispute procedures.
These terms apply to services actually provided by us. Website demos and the full game may have different features and environments; demo records are not linked to full-game records.
Article 2. Definitions
A user uses an offered service; a member completes an available registration/account-linking process. A non-member uses permitted functions without a separate membership.
A platform provides an external execution, distribution, identification, storage or payment environment and may impose a separate agreement.
Game records include stages, stars, rewards, gold, AP, upgrades, skin ownership/equipping, daily participation, settings and results.
Content includes software, characters, skins, music, video, documents and game currency. Paid content is purchased for consideration and is distinguished from free play, attendance, event or advertising rewards.
Stamps record progress toward a particular skin under the stated conditions. They are not money, deposits or electronic currency and cannot be cashed out or traded without an expressly available, lawful arrangement.
Article 3. Service-provider information
Legally required business identification and contact information is made available in the service or website footer. These terms and the privacy policy are accessible through linked document pages.
Support uses the email displayed in the website footer; privacy contacts are also stated in the privacy policy. Published contact details are updated when they change.
Article 4. Publication, explanation and changes
We publish terms for review and retention before contracting and clearly explain important conditions on payment, withdrawal, restrictions, cancellation and liability.
Changes are announced with their reasons, comparison and effective date at least seven days in advance, or thirty days for material or unfavorable changes. Individual notice uses contact details lawfully available to us.
Separately required consent is obtained. Merely visiting the website or missing an announcement is not automatically agreement or data-processing consent.
Users who disagree may stop use or request cancellation before the change applies. Announcements do not by themselves extinguish purchased entitlements or statutory rights. Questions about the terms can be submitted to support.
Article 5. Agreement and age conditions
An agreement forms through the required application and acceptance after review of these terms and the offered service. Reading promotional pages alone does not create a full-game account or agreement.
We may refuse applications involving false information, identity misuse, unlawful purposes or interference. Technical or platform limitations may delay access with an explanation.
The service primarily targets users in Korea, with website information in Korean and English. Users must meet the game rating, platform age requirements and applicable guardian-consent requirements.
Where a minor’s contract requires guardian consent, lawful consent is necessary. Privacy and purchase consent have their own requirements; any verification evidence must be limited to what is needed.
Article 6. Applicable law and individual conditions
Matters not covered follow applicable Korean privacy, terms, gaming, electronic-commerce and other laws.
Platform, product and event conditions identify their actual scope. They do not silently impose unfavorable obligations or override mandatory consumer protections.
Article 7. Operating policy
Detailed error, reward, fair-use and restriction rules may be published as an operating policy. Unfavorable decisions are not based solely on inaccessible internal rules.
Material changes affecting rights and duties follow the terms-change notice process. Nonmaterial explanatory corrections are announced as appropriate.
Chapter 2. Privacy
Article 8. Privacy
The privacy policy explains actual data, purposes, grounds, retention, sharing, outsourcing, international processing and rights. Agreement to terms, data-processing consent and marketing consent are distinct.
Device-only game records and installation information used by external notice services have different processing locations and scopes. A website visit does not itself collect full-game records. External platforms also apply their own privacy rules.
Chapter 3. Obligations
Article 9. Our obligations
We comply with law and these terms and take necessary steps for reliable service, privacy and user protection.
We investigate save failures, missing rewards and faults and reasonably restore or correct them. Unconfirmed outcomes are not used to arbitrarily erase currency or purchased rights.
Valid complaints are reviewed and answered. Delays are explained with a schedule. We do not promise server backups or restoration that are unavailable.
Article 10. User obligations and prohibited conduct
Protect your device and authorized access; do not misuse another person’s identity, payment methods or data. Take care with records on shared devices.
Prohibited conduct includes impersonation or false refund evidence; cheating, unauthorized automation, tampering or exploitation for records or rewards; malware and network interference; privacy/copyright infringement and harassment; and violations of law or lawfully disclosed conditions.
Errors may be reported to support. Legitimate criticism, reporting and statutory rights are not prohibited merely because they are unfavorable to the Company.
Chapter 4. Services and restrictions
Article 11. Service content and availability
The full game is a left/right-input rhythm action game with offered stages/modes, stars/unlocks, gold/AP, HP/attack upgrades, skins, daily activities and notices. Actual screens specify availability and conditions.
Website video progression and rhythm play are separate; they do not grant or modify full-game accounts, currency or skins, and results are not transferred.
Availability, supported devices, storage and conditions are described in the game and service notices. We do not represent unavailable storage or restoration features as available.
Content and reward conditions may change within disclosed limits. Changes adversely affecting purchased paid content are announced with their application date and any required settlement.
Rewarded ads and paid skins may be selected in environments where they are actually offered. Participation, purchase, delivery and refund conditions are disclosed before use.
Article 12. Devices, storage, recovery and supported environments
Use a supported device, browser and display environment. Media and game downloads can incur charges under your carrier contract.
Browser records belong to a specific browser, profile and site origin. Clearing site data, ending private browsing, resetting/changing a device or browser, or storage cleanup may remove them. Automatic cloud backup and cross-device restoration are not currently offered.
Conflicting windows or damaged/unconfirmed saves may temporarily restrict inputs to prevent incorrect settlement. The same reward or purchase is not processed again before its result is known.
Restoration is assessed from available saves and evidence; we cannot promise access to device records we do not hold. This does not waive liability for harm attributable to us.
Closing the game or clearing device records is distinct from deleting a platform account or canceling a purchase. Privacy and purchase requests may be submitted through the relevant contact route.
Article 13. Changes, maintenance and termination
Changes or interruptions for improvement, maintenance, platforms, security or law are announced with affected features, reasons and expected duration.
Urgent security incidents, outages and disasters may require action before notice; we then explain the known cause, scope and progress without delay.
Whole-service termination is normally announced thirty days ahead with reasons, date, affected functions, settlement and contacts, with individual notice where available.
Unused or unexpired paid entitlements are settled under law and contract. A refund contact remains available for at least thirty days after termination.
Free rewards and purchased rights are distinguished. Fault compensation depends on responsibility, actual loss and law; unavailable time-based products do not create a fictional time-credit scheme.
Article 14. Game resources, progression, rewards and stamps
Gold, AP and stamps are in-game records, not promised income. Acquisition/use amounts, limits, regeneration and reset rules are disclosed before participation.
Play results, attendance/roulette, boxes, upgrades and skin stamps are distinct records. Advertising and participation requirements are stated where relevant.
Daily-reset features identify their time basis. Accumulated skin stamps and owned skins do not disappear merely because a daily limit resets.
Unconfirmed saves, repeated taps or retries do not produce duplicate rewards. Report the approximate time, screen and activity; no secret key or full account file should be published.
Random free rewards disclose their participation conditions and outcome range. Any future paid probability-based product must meet applicable disclosure law. The website currently sells no such product.
Article 15. Processing and additional features
Operational records follow the privacy policy. Broad terms wording does not authorize new collection or international transfers.
The privacy policy distinguishes website-demo processing from full-game processing. New features are introduced with advance information about the necessary data and conditions.
New login, cloud saves, statistics, advertising or support features require prior accurate disclosure and applicable legal steps. Refusing optional data does not categorically block unrelated basic functionality.
Article 16. Advertising and rewarded ads
Rewarded ads are optional. The reward, completion requirements and limits are disclosed before selection. Ad-viewing conditions do not apply in environments where live ads are not offered.
Loading, starting, completion, cancellation, failure and unknown results are distinguished. Time elapsed or closing a screen does not prove completion. Verified results and confirmed saves determine settlement without duplicates.
Ads may be unavailable or fail. Unconfirmed rewards are identified as pending and support/retry routes are provided. Statutory rights are not waived by blaming an ad provider.
Viewing is not blanket marketing or personalized-ad data consent. Actual SDK processing and separately required choices follow the privacy policy.
Advertising email, SMS and push messages require applicable consent and an opt-out route. External advertising terms do not remove our own legal responsibility.
Article 17. Copyright and use of content
The Company or relevant rights holders own the software, artwork, characters, music, video and documents. Use is limited to authorized service purposes.
Unauthorized sale, rental, distribution and misleading replicas are prohibited. Lawful quotation, fair use and separately permitted sharing remain available.
There is currently no user-post, chat or audio-upload feature. We do not acquire broad rights in user material by referencing absent functionality. Any future feature must explain publication, purposes, rights and deletion beforehand.
Article 18. Skins and paid content
Skins change appearance; default and additional ownership/equipping are distinguished. Current skins do not alter attack, HP or rhythm judgments. Acquisition conditions are shown in the service.
Skin rights earned through stamps are distinguished from paid rights. Rights are granted when the disclosed acquisition or purchase conditions are met, with safeguards against duplicate or improper grants.
Before a paid sale, we disclose the product, contents, final price and currency, seller, delivery, duration, scope, withdrawal, refund and restoration conditions. Promotional materials alone do not create a purchase.
Duration, consumption order and cross-platform/device transfer follow the actual sales conditions. No undisclosed blanket expiration is imposed, and device changes do not automatically extinguish statutory purchase rights.
Unavailable subscriptions, automatic renewals, consumables and paid currency generate no charges. Introducing them requires separate price, renewal, cancellation and remaining-entitlement terms.
Article 19. Restrictions and temporary protection
Confirmed violations may lead to proportionate warnings, correction of improper gains, feature restrictions or account restrictions, considering intent, repetition, harm and possible correction.
Reasonable suspicion of identity misuse, damaged saves, duplicate settlement or a security incident may justify narrowly limited temporary protection. Save failure alone is not proof of cheating.
Measures stay within available restriction functions and include disclosed grounds and an opportunity to explain. We do not claim to remotely suspend or erase device records we cannot access.
Article 20. Restriction procedures and correction
We explain the reason, affected scope, duration and appeal route. Urgent actions are explained without delay afterwards.
Relevant evidence may be submitted without unrelated data or secret credentials. Incorrect restrictions are lifted with feasible restoration, correction or settlement.
Restrictions and termination do not automatically extinguish all statutory refund or compensation rights associated with paid content.
Article 21. Appeals
Users may submit an appeal and evidence by support email within fourteen days of a restriction notice; justified difficulty meeting that period may also be explained.
We respond within fifteen days after receipt. If further investigation is necessary, we explain the reason and expected schedule.
This procedure does not restrict statutory complaints, privacy rights, mediation or litigation. Shorter statutory deadlines and different mandatory procedures take precedence.
Chapter 5. Payments, withdrawal and cancellation
Article 22. Payments and purchase status
Actual paid offerings disclose payment method, currency, tax, fees and limits before purchase. Platform payment does not remove the seller’s statutory duties.
Cancellation, pending payment, purchase, entitlement delivery and refund are distinct. Missing callbacks do not justify prompting immediate repurchase; an existing-transaction check is provided.
Verification uses the order ID, product, platform and minimal evidence, never full card numbers, passwords or verification codes. We do not represent that the game stores complete payment credentials.
Viewing promotional pages or participating in a demo is not a paid order or payment consent.
Article 23. Withdrawal and minors’ purchases
Applicable law generally permits withdrawal within seven days of receipt of the contract information, or later delivery/commencement where applicable.
Restrictions after commencement of digital supply require legally valid prior notice, consent and required trial/information arrangements. A “no refunds” label or platform policy cannot override statutory rights.
Unused, not-yet-supplied separable portions are assessed separately. Misdescribed or nonconforming supply is subject to statutory periods of three months from supply and thirty days from knowing or being able to know the issue.
Requests may use the platform’s refund route or support email. Only necessary purchase evidence is requested, with eligible and consumed portions explained.
Minors or guardians may cancel purchases lacking legally required guardian consent. Exceptions for permitted property or deception are assessed under law rather than a blanket ban.
Valid digital-content withdrawal is refunded within three business days from the withdrawal date under the applicable law. Interest, cooperation and costs follow law. Separate third-party carrier charges are distinguished without waiving statutory responsibility.
For email withdrawal, missing-item or restoration requests, provide the purchase platform, order number, product, approximate purchase time and requested action. The policy index includes copyable forms in Refund and privacy requests. Redact unrelated personal and payment details.
For paid purchases offered through Apps in Toss, users may use the refund request route in the Toss app. On Android, partner review is distinct from Google Play’s final decision and actual reimbursement; Apple reviews refunds on iOS. We verify the relevant order and provide necessary cooperation without using platform processes to exclude statutory responsibility.
Article 24. Overpayments, refunds and restoration
Confirmed overpayments are normally returned through the original method. If unavailable, reasons and an alternative are explained while statutory refund deadlines remain applicable.
Only lawful, reasonable actual return costs attributable to user error may be charged; costs for which we are responsible are not shifted to users.
Non-consumable paid skin rights are restored using verified purchase/refund records for the same user and platform. A partial lookup failure does not establish no purchase history or justify requiring repurchase first.
Refunded paid rights may be corrected independently from ownership earned through a separate free route.
Purchase, reimbursement and restoration outcomes are checked separately. Clearing device records or receiving an inquiry alone does not establish a completed refund or restoration.
Article 25. Cancellation and deletion
Users may stop use at any time. Where an account agreement exists, cancellation uses the stated withdrawal route or support after necessary identity checks.
Device-only game records can be deleted using device or browser data controls. Check the relevant guidance for whether a progress reset also covers notice caches, external installation information, support emails or platform records.
Privacy requests distinguish device, Company-held and external-service records. We do not claim deletion of inaccessible data.
Termination for serious violations normally includes reasons and an appropriate opportunity to correct them; urgent protective actions are limited and explained.
Necessary statutory retention, settlement and dispute duties survive cancellation. Deleting an app or withdrawing does not waive every refund or damages claim.
Chapter 6. Liability and disputes
Article 26. Damages
Each party bears legal responsibility for harm caused by its intentional or negligent breach. Responsibility depends on fault, actual loss and causation.
Reasonable evidence may be requested without categorically denying responsibility merely because a user has difficulty producing it. Paid-content failures are also assessed under the contract and consumer law.
Article 27. Scope and limits of responsibility
Responsibility for uncontrollable events without attributable fault may be limited only as law permits.
Loss involving local deletion, device resets, tampering or unauthorized use is assessed by cause and responsibility; device involvement does not erase our own fault.
Free/test status, external platforms, links or unmet reward expectations do not categorically waive liability for intent or gross negligence or mandatory consumer rights.
External services follow their providers’ conditions while our own unlawful guidance or fault remains subject to applicable law.
Article 28. Notices and notifications
Notices use the game notice board, website or lawfully held contact details. Service announcements are provided for users without contact details while mandatory individual-notice obligations remain applicable.
The board fetches public information. Local read marks/cache are convenience records, not acceptance, marketing consent or delivery guarantees. Offline or not-yet-refreshed clients may show cached/default notices.
Functional push and marketing messages require accurate purposes, providers, choices and withdrawal routes. Agreement, OS permission, sending and receipt are distinct.
Where notifications are offered, users can manage permissions in platform and device settings. We explain the applicable controls and available support.
Article 29. Law and jurisdiction
Korean law governs interpretation. Jurisdiction follows applicable law rather than an arbitrarily exclusive court at our location.
Mandatory protections applicable to an overseas user are not improperly excluded. Language discrepancies are interpreted with the agreement and applicable law without diminishing statutory rights.
Article 30. Support, disputes and supplementary provisions
Support accepts game, reward, save and purchase inquiries through the website footer email. Approximate time, environment, affected content and redacted screenshots assist review.
We answer valid complaints within a reasonable period and explain delays and timing. Specific statutory privacy/refund deadlines take priority.
Unresolved disputes may use the appropriate mediation body, including the Korea Consumer Agency, or courts. We cooperate with lawful fact-finding and requests.
These terms apply from the stated effective date; the service contract is formed under article 5. Previous terms and their applicable periods are retained in an accessible form.
Reading this document is not acceptance of terms or consent to personal-data processing.
